Mr. Boates is an insightful Project Associate with experience managing various public health groups and initiatives. He contributes to Freedman Healthcare’s efforts by supporting ongoing APCD and data-related projects. While managing project timelines, arranging and participating in client meetings, conducting qualitative research, and developing project proposals, Mr. Boates plays an important role in supporting our client’s goals. Prior to joining FHC, Mr. Boates supported ambulatory electronic health records where he trained and supported physicians on how to best utilize the system based on their unique organizational workflows. Before this, Mr. Boates served as Program Manager for a health education group known as the Not Ready for Bedtime Players at the University of Massachusetts Amherst Center for Health Promotion. Here he managed the recruitment and development of staff, as well as the overall operations. Mr. Boates holds a MPH in Health Policy from the University of Massachusetts Amherst School of Public Health and completed his Graduate Project analysing state substance laws. While completing his degree, Mr. Boates was a Graduate Assistant for multiple U.S Health Policy courses, and interned at Shriners Hospitals for Children. Mr. Boates also holds and undergraduate degree in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
