Brian Roach is a Senior Data Science Consultant at Freedman HealthCare, where he specializes in developing data-driven solutions to support healthcare policy, clinical decision-making, and population health analytics. In this role, he integrates advanced statistical modeling, large-scale data engineering , and clear communication to help clients transform complex health data into actionable insights. His expertise includes applied statistics, health data architecture, and analytic methods used to evaluate quality, affordability, and equity in healthcare systems.
Prior to joining Freedman HealthCare, Mr. Roach held leadership and technical roles across digital health, academic research, and clinical data science. At two digital health startups, he led teams in building analytic pipelines, developing reproducible reporting frameworks, and improving patient-facing health technology through data. Earlier in his career, he spent more than a decade at the Veterans Health Research Institute where he designed and implemented EEG and fMRI preprocessing workflows, supported large multisite studies, managed multimodal research data pipelines, and contributed to over 100 peer-reviewed neuroscience publications. His work spanned signal processing, time frequency analysis, automated quality assurance, and clinical research support across multidisciplinary teams.
Mr. Roach holds a Master's degree in Statistics from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science from Vassar College.
