Ms. Bourgault is a nationally recognized leader and subject matter expert with over thirty years of experience in the healthcare industry, including over fourteen years working with and supporting the implementation and operation of All Payer Claims Databases (APCDs). As a Senior Consultant at Freedman Healthcare, Ms. Bourgault collaborates with clients to find optimal solutions to challenges and opportunities for innovation and advancement. Ms. Bourgault brings her years of billing and claims adjudication experience to support healthcare data collection efforts and research initiatives. Ms. Bourgault specializes in data submission guidelines and technical specifications and chairs two National Association of Health Data Organizations (NAHDO) committees, leading efforts to develop national standards for APCD claims data collection, maintain the APCD Common Data Layout (APCD-CDLTM), and develop standards for non-claim payments data collection. Prior to joining Freedman Healthcare, Ms. Bourgault spent over 13 years working for Onpoint Health Data as the Director of Product Development. In that role, she led the Product Development team in developing solutions to improve data quality, enhance data processing, and support data release. Ms. Bourgault holds a BS in Accounting from Bentley University and is certified as a Professional Coder (CPC) and Professional Biller (CPB).
